1334 Air Cadets

Getting a glider ready for the road

The Tendring Show this year was extremely warm and sunny, despite this the cadets worked hard organizing rubbish disposal and litter picking long after the crowds had left. During the show 1334 Manningtree’s stand had many visitors, from past cadets to many interested in becoming a member of the Air Cadets. Thanks to 614 VGS for giving many young people an insight into flying in the ATC. 614’s Viking Glider on display gave a big boost to public interest at the show.

It was a good weekend, with BBQ’s and the occasional water fight at camp in the evenings. The Cadets even had the opportunity to take apart the 614 Squadron’s Viking Glider and pack it away into its trailer at the end of the show. Thanks also to all the Cadets and Staff for their help, you have helped to raise much needed funds for the Squadron’s year ahead.
