On 27th June 2010 Staff and Cadets from 1334 Manningtree Squadron Air Cadets are planning to do the Sponsored Orwell Walk 2010. We are aiming to complete 25 miles with shorter courses available of either  12 or 18 miles. Recently Flt Sgt Smith’s two year old daughter spent 2 weeks in the renal unit at the Great Ormond Street Hospital (GOSH), due to a kidney condition. We thought it would be nice to give something back to GOSH, to help say thank you for the wonderful treatment and support she received.

To make a donation toward this cause click on the button above or go to www.justgiving.com/orwell-gosh donations are easy and secure. If you would like to volunteer your support, in any way small or large, please contact us. Read more about the walk here www.orwellwalk.org.uk

Donations make a big difference. Here are some of the ways your money can help: – just £7 could help to pay for an ‘assisted bath’ a piece of equipment with a platform to gently help a child in and out of the water – £20 can give tiny new born babies special neonatal masks to help them breathe – £545 can help all in-patients at GOSH needing specialy adapted beds – £798 could pay for a wheelchair and its accessories.

Donating through JustGiving is simple, fast and totally secure. Your details are safe with JustGiving – they’ll never sell them on or send unwanted emails. Once you donate, they’ll send your money directly to the charity and make sure Gift Aid is reclaimed on every eligible donation by a UK taxpayer. So it’s the most efficient way to donate – I raise more, whilst saving time and cutting costs for the charity.

So please dig deep and donate now – www.justgiving.com/orwell-gosh
